why?

Why is it like this? Why is your site all over the place? I admit, the messaging is a little inconsistent. And trust me, nobody is more frustrated by it than I am.

The short version is this:

I can do a lot of stuff! Early in my career I made a point to seek opportunities to learn new skills. This is how I learned injection molding, welding, machining, a variety of printing processes. As a designer it has always been useful to have this broad, in-depth knowledge of production.

My new objective is to transition from a production environment to a remote environment. So, while I put together this design portfolio things are going to look a little rough. It is a process - it is a not-so-flattering part of the process. And some people aren’t going to know what to make of it. But I trust the process. I’ve worked hard to develop a process that CAN be trusted. And it is gonna be awesome! It really is.

So if I directed you here and you’re tilting your head wondering why… I get it. But Rome wasn’t built in a day. These are exciting times. The world is changing rapidly and I am ready for it!

Testimonials

“When we bought our 1890s home, the original front door was beyond repair. Sackett was able to make an exact copy, down to the hand chiseled details. It’s a work of art.”

— Mollie G.

“Sackett designed and built a custom dining set for our vacation home. Without fail, it’s the thing everyone comments on. I couldn’t be happier with the work and the experience of designing it with them.”

— Gabriel H.

“It’s nearly impossible to find people who still apply classic woodworking techniques, but Sackett is keeping those traditions alive. Their work has a beautiful and timeless quality.”

— Griffin H.
